 Święto Grzyba w Michałowie

Jest to impreza promująca lokalny folklor. Połączona jest z edukacyjno - ekologicznym konkursem dla szkół promującym bezpieczne zachowanie w lesie, wiedzę o zbieraniu i przetwarzaniu grzybów. Organizowana jest we współpracy z Regionalną Dyrekcją Lasów Państwowych oraz Nadleśnictwem Żednia.

 Na 9. edycja imprezy przygotowano liczne atrakcje, m.in.:
- konkurs grzybobrania o tytuł Władcy Grzybów,
- pokaz sztuki kulinarnej „z grzybem w roli głównej” w wykonaniu Dżannety Bogdanowicz,
- konkurs kulinarny na najsmaczniejszą grzybową potrawę,
- liczne stoiska z rękodziełem ludowym i potrawami kuchni regionalnej,
- koncerty zespołów folklorystycznych i ludowych m.in. Narva z Białegostoku, Zaranica z Krynek, Kalinka z Białegostoku oraz gwiazda Haydamaky z Ukrainy,
- grzyby w różnej postaci: świeże, marynowane, suszone a nawet drewniane.

Punktem kulminacyjnym programu będzie konkurs ekologiczno-edukacyjny- „Czwórbój szkół podstawowych” pod honorowym patronatem Podlaskiego Kuratora Oświaty, którego celem jest krzewienie postaw proekologicznych wśród dzieci i młodzieży. Jest to okazja do uwrażliwienia młodych ludzi na piękno lasów oraz przypomnienie zasad obowiązujących na obszarach leśnych. Dla dzieci i młodzieży przygotowano jeszcze jedną atrakcję: warsztaty szczudlarskie dla początkujących, które zostaną przeprowadzone przez instruktorów z warszawskiej fundacji Praktycy Kultury.
